Privacy on grinly.au
The short version: reading, listening and laughing here are anonymous. We only learn something about you if you sign up for the Sunday Grin, and then only your email address and, if you give it, your first name.

Who we are
grinly.au is run by Company31 Pty Ltd, Sydney, New South Wales, the maker of the Grinly app. We handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles. Questions: connect@company31.com.
Browsing the site
- No analytics, no advertising, no cookies, no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. Everything the pages load comes from grinly.au itself.
- Your browser remembers two small things on your own device, never sent to us: the colour theme you chose and the narration voice you prefer.
- Like every web server, ours keeps a short-lived access log (address, time, page) for security and to keep the site running. We don't use it to profile anyone.
The Sunday Grin newsletter
- What we keep: your email address, the first name if you give one, when you signed up, confirmed or left, which sign-up form you used, and the wording you agreed to. Your IP address is never stored; a one-way hash of it is kept for up to an hour to stop automated sign-ups.
- Why: only to send you the Sunday Grin, the confirmation and welcome emails, and nothing else. We never sell, rent or share your address.
- Consent: nothing is sent until you confirm from the email we send you (double opt-in), as the Spam Act 2003 requires.
- Where it is kept: on our web host, and with Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), the service that delivers our emails. Brevo stores data in the European Union under the GDPR.
- Leaving: every email has a one-click unsubscribe. You can also email connect@company31.com to leave, see what we hold about you, correct it or have it deleted.
The Grinly app
The app is separate and collects nothing at all: no account, no analytics, nothing leaves your device. Its own policy is at company31.com/grinly/privacy.html.
